Got a focus that wasnt charging, stuck a new altenator on it and its charging, just after about 20 seconds the charge light comes on and stays on although it is charging fine. ive checked the multiplug wiring as far back as i can see for the smart charge system, also the altenatr is a new bosch one although not a genuine ford one. any help would be much appreciated.

 

does it charge with the multi plug disconnected?

 

Yeah still charges with it disconnected.
