A/C high side too high
Trinary pressure switch or the cooling fan are common causes (on any vehicle with this problem).
The Trinary switch usually has a low pressure circuit and a high. When the high side is tripped, it should cut the compressor and the cooling fans should activate (or should go to high speed mode if they run at constant low speed) to cool the gas and bring the pressure down.
