Hi

my mate has got a 2005 Focus & his car has started doing weird stuff. The alarm has started to go off randomly & sometimes when he's driving along the immob light starts to flash

It doesn't cut the engine out or anything like that. Anybody got any ideas before I go look at it?

not heard of this before, has he tried using a spare key, see if it still does it? A lot of electrical problems with focus's of this sort of age can be caused by a faulty gem module, not cheap to to fix unfortunately!

 

he was originally using the remote key to start the car but now he's using the spare chipped key.

He has all his keys on his keyring together so i thought it could've possibly been some kind of interference with havng 2 transponders so close to the ignition at the same time
