Hi there, does anyone know if running my ST170 with the centre section heatshield removed would cause any problems (Its the one that goes over the fuel tank) I know the tanks plastic, but its got plenty of clearance from the exhaust, so wouldnt melt on a decent journey, would it????

 

no mate it wont do any damage i've taken all my heat shields off
as they were rattling and done my head in been off for the last 4 years

 

sound, just didnt fancy melting a hole in my tank halfway down the M6!!!

 

minder did you remove the steering rack 1 as well?
