Drove to work this morning for the first time and the temp needle only just got to the first white line is this right or do I have to get my hands dirty....the pic is when I got to work which is 8miles away...

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks mate that's what I was thinking. You replace the whole thing including the housing? Is that right

 

In this case yes, as the stat housing is plastic and they are prone to cracking.
