Hi new to the the forum. I have bought a 1.6 2006 focus and the engine has blown. (Con rod shot through the sump). Its the hxda engine and have been searching for one to swap. But there's quite a few... basically will a hxdb hxja fit straight in aswell? Any help would be appreciated cheers.

If yours is VVT model then you will need a VVT engine. If its a bog standard 1.6 then put any 1.6 focus engine in just swap all your bits off your old engine. Engine code is irrelevant imo done loads over the years never had an issue.

 

Cool so even the newer hxdb should fit then. Cheers
