time to throw myself on my knees before the knowledge gurus of the forum. I am trying to replace the auto box transmission oil and filter on a 1.6 mk1 saloon. I can find loads of videos on how to do it what spec oil to use etc.... but I cannot find anywhere on the web that will sell me a filter! my problem being im currently in Cyprus so any part checking websites require a reg number.
Any help gratefully received.

 

I just had a look on Ford ETIS workshop manuals and there is no seperate filter mentioned for the 4F27E auto transmission. There is a sub heading for the oil pan & filter but it shows no seperate filter.

To change the fluid remove the lower return hose on the oil cooler, run engine at idle, drain out 3 litres of fluid, refit hose refill with new fluid (3 litres) run engine at idle, check level fill as required.

 

This is where Ford are shite sometimes, the factory workshop manual you would expect to be gospel.
No mention of it at all for a mk1 Focus on the Ford workshop manual..
