Hi people. Me and the wife bought a 53 reg ford focus zetec a few weeks back.
There is a fault with the wipers if u click the stalk up the wipers will go so far up the screen. You have to keep working the wipers for them to park again.
On all the other settings they work ok.
Could it be the wiper stalk at fault.
Also can i fit a wiper stalk with the intermittent speed ajustment on them like the ghias and the STs or is it not as easy as that.
Thanks.

We had the exact same problem on a 52 plate Focus and it was the relay in the fusebox. £24 from Ford.
I have also fitted the variable wipe stalk from a GHIA and it required no other mods to work.

Should add that it was in the fusebox behind the glove box and I had to undo the screws for the box and flex the box back to get the relay out past the metal frame ( it will make sense once you start the job)

sweet so you defo dont have to do anymore mods for the variable wiper stalk to work. I work on a fleet of tranny connects i wonder if they use the same wiper relay.

Went to a scrap yard on saturday and bought one of these relays and the intermittent wiper stalk.Got them for 15 quid.
Also pinched 3 more of the relays and the radio control switch lol.
Not bad for 15 quid.Fitted the stalk and relay yesterday. Its all working again.
