Default Focus 12 year anti corrosion warranty?

My 2003 Focus has imminent signs of rust on the front doors under the wing mirrors.
After scanning google, this seems a common issue.
I've emailed Ford to see if they'll cover this under the 12 yr anti corrosion warranty, but has anyone had any luck in getting this or a similar issue sorted for free??

They will only fix it if you have full ford service history with all the bodywork check stamps present, and the rust has actually created a hole. Otherwise you have no chance!

That's pox about the service history part. Like who the fk is gonna keep up a service history with ford? They would go bankrupt if they honored everyone that had rust on their chasis.

I've read a few posts on other forums, and some have been successful, without the full service history and paint check, apparently anyway.
I've sent an email to the director of Ford UK, so I'll see what happens.
Getting them to do it is tough but looks like it can be done. Worst they can say is no!

I had my rust fixed on my old Mk1 Focus done under warrenty, as did Dad on his Mk1.5.

Mine was on the bottom of the rear passenger door & bottom of the boot where they are sealed. Car was a '99 T & it was fixed in '05 or '06.

Dads was a ghia and it was all around the chrome plastic boot strip. Then about 18 months after it was fixed, it rusted again in the same place. Car was an '02 & was fixed orignally in about '07.

Anyway, I thought the warrenty was only 7 or 10 years not 12.
