rust ? waxoil?

Default rust ? waxoil?

right dont mean to sound dum or anything want advice on how to do it properly ? ive jet washed the bottom off my car to see how things looked got 2 big ish holes size of a 50pence picece and they will get welded and did the same to the arches have a lagre amont of rust everywhere whats the best way to stop it getting worse ? clean then paste evenly with waxoil or rust stuff?????

fighting a losing battle mate

all you can do is get it welded and treat the bottom with hammerite + waxoyl and hope that slows it down

rub all the surface rust off, sand paper/wet n dry/grinder (bit harsh), treat it with some rust treating stuff cover in stone chip, and paint i'd reckon. sure someone will correct me if im wrong

Only way to do it is to cut all the rust out and have new plate's welded in

And on top of that paint it VERY well, then lots of underseal on the underneath, cut it out properly and prep the new plates and they will last years. The only way to totally remove rust is to remove the whole panel, not very easy with the floor though

don't do anything till you have had it welded. Just makes it harder to weld

if your welding the floor take the carpet up and treat inside to other wise you'll create a rust trap due to it being untreated

its pretty obvious he has to take thecarpet upsome things dont neede saying but some people dont treat the bare metal thats unseen after welding

yeah cut more out than rust on my floor we cut about an inch more off around all the rust then plenty of stone chip then paint then waxoil .
