wots evry1s temp guage read at when normal op temp? my never gets above quarter of the way, got hot air inside the car now with a new stat

Ford temp gauges are crap, they aren't calibrated and are pretty meaningless most of the time. This time of year just from normal driving on main roads I see 80c, so the stat isn't even opening. Foot down giving it plenty of beans I see 95c ish. Even that isn't right though because my manifold heats up my water temp sender.



So probably only seeing about 90 ish

whats a good temp gauge to get?. Also silly question where does this it fit to/in? the sender?

Depends on your budget, obviously a £100 gauge is better than a £10 one.....

My Defi sender fitted into the original one's place at the front of the head. I need to either take the loom apart and move it to the back of the head, or make a heat shield for it

I'm not that bothered because I know how my car is and if I plan on abusing it all day I plug the laptop in and check on it properly, along with other things.

at what temperature does it become dangerouse.

what is the limit?
just wonderin as im going to get a water temp gauge and i want to know at what temp i should get worried???? lol

108- 110 at the most really. But you normally want to see around 100 tops.

mine is at half way, goes up to 3/4 and fan kicks in,

then back down to half
