every one ses about the act's being to high running over 14psi on a standard intercooler yet my self and other people on here have run this kind of boost and not blown an engine up so whats the problem its not like were bull shitting when i have seen it with my own eyes on my boost guage running above 14psi o s/i.and i sold the car and is still going strong running more boost than i was and its a 1.8 cvh with a high comp bottem end and an rs head ,running that kind of boost i would of thought that it would of blown a long time ago but it hasent and know putting the same engine and set up (s/i included)in an xr2 to take up the pod .!

That boost is pefectly fine for the intercooler. Runninf 19psi on a std intercooler, is however, silly.
Big boost and poor cooling is fine for short bursts in the lower gears, but hold it for any length of time, and this is where u are likely to run into problems. You are unlikely that she'll melt if the igntion has been set accordingly, but you WILL lose peformance. For example, a track car using a std turbo and cooler, should be set to 11psi max for best peformance, with as much advance as possible.
First mod on an RST should be a good intercooler and breather system

what bout gettin a -34?? what does this do bin told i need one could be why when i boost it gets to 17 -18 and drops loads and doesnt seem that rapid at the mo ????????????
