boost
What sort of safe boost level can you run before you need to change the pistons for low compression ones? Also will the metering unit cope with the fuel side?
I've got a piper x air filter, exhaust, chip, actuator + bleed vaulve, running at 12 psi. After a bit more power and cant decide on front mount intercooler or a cam. I can only afford one for now, intercooler will look cool though and i hear the standerd one is only ok for 14psi max.
Any advise much appreciated.

dont bother with a cam IMO, a FMIC will be a better opition, and looks good for your money,
a standard cam is pretty good anyway,
Fuelling as said many times, take it to a decent tuner and they should help u.
I put low comp pistons in mine as a pre caution and i wanted to rebuild the bottom end anyway, standard compression should be ok up to 18 psi or over as said above depends on timing and fuelling,
my mate runs new standard comp mahle pistons running 20 psi, and his is fine, but every cars different

Thanks for the replies. Think I'll leave the cam then and go for the intercooler. Been looking at the radtec front mount as it seems best vaule for money, about £330 inc p+p and twin fans, has anyone tried these? Or are pace etc worth the extra?
Trip to interpro after then to get it set up, last thing I wana do is blow the engine.
Cheers guys.
