the thing with the series one is they only look good standard where as series 2's can look good standard or with a few extras
I rest my case !
Don't get me wrong, i do like the S2, just not as much.

Ohhh the trouble you guys are causing me
I got an kinda mint s2, it needs a small bit of work, but nothing compared to some of the dogs out there, but lately these S1's have just grown on me and I have gotten the urge for one.
dry: those rims you got on your S1 are just spot on, and it just looks soooo raw standard, while the s2 still looks well.. to "new" ?
Don't get me wrong I love my S2, but Im kinda cosidering selling it to find a S1 do restore rather than the S2.. just can't make up my mind
Plus its not easy to find a mint LHD S1

God damn, that's a nice S1
Have found a few, but they have all been sold. Next time I will have to buy it and get it imported to denmark and then decide what to do.I'll just have to cross my fingers that its mint.. and if not, then restore it.

Thanx for the kind words Dan. Mudflaps were on when i bought her. I was told by the previous owner that they have been on for as long as he can remember. He only had it 3 years but his mate owned it before him and he took his mate to pick it up from the Ford garage when it was new. His mate had it 16 years ! Are you still lookin for one mate? What's the score ?

You say that Rad i've only ever seen about 2 Zetec conversions done on Series 1's!
One was an 1800 and one was a 2.1
Better to stick with the 1600 tho IMO

The S1 is the original and without compromise,
as the S2 was created to make an Escort RST more
attractive to a bigger group of potential customers.
You either like it or dislike it and I like it very much

Rad, there's no reason at all that Series 2's are better for power, especially when everyone is changing engine's!
