hey.. i just wanted to share a little of my pain with you..
yesterday i was going to replace my old rusty oil sump with a fresh new one.. got the old one off and scraped off the old gasketpieces from the block.
but when i started to fit the new one my own hell became reality
the new gasket is a one-piece rubber gasket.. and its impossible to fit the sump and keep the rubbergasket from falling out of its grooves at the same time
... maybe i gotta say that the engine is still in the car so i have to do this while laying on the ground under the car..
after messing with it for like 3 hours i gave up on it... mad as hell
... dont know what to do now
anybody who has experience with doing this?? maybe you could teach me a trick on how to do it

Buy your self a pot of evo stick ,dry the sump and the block apply evo stick to the sump and the gasket(the side that touches the sump ) let tack off then carefully place the gasket to the sump this will stick to it like shit to a blanket ,then in the corners of the half moon sections wipe a little bit of sealer in and bolt up

As TWINS said above, just use a decent super glue to hold the gasket in place on the sump itself. Clean the surfaces, if you can get somebody to hold/fit the gasket to the sump as you apply the glue. That way they can keep it in place without you havin to try and stick it in place before the glue goes off.
