Default Electro Pressure Watzit on the Metering Head

Hi ya guys,

A friend of mine has recently rebuilt a series 2 rs to standard spec. He's got the lump back in and connected everything up however is having some problems with the electric fuel pressure regulator that sits on the side of the metering head. When the electrical device is disconnected the car seems to run / idle fine, however when he connects the electric fuel pressure regulator it runs lumpy as hell and dies on idle.

Suggestions ?

Thx, Swanny

Something is probably telling the fuel ecu to richen like hell. Perhaps something wrong with the water temp sensor or it's wiring?

I agree with Jesse - check all the plugs are on the sensors. IM guessing one isnt on properly, or u have two or more mixed up.

Usually water temp sensor or the wiring when this happens. Without that pressure actuator, he will have no on boost enrichment..
