Default How Much Oil Pressure Should I Have

As above really , im fitting a gauge today and need to know whats good or bad .

You don't really want less than 1 bar @ idle, and you should have max pressure at 100% and full boost, which should be around 4.5bar.

mine is 80-90 psi on start up,30 when warm and 60 when driving

2.8 bar at 2k is the pressure of a standard oil pump, mine is about 3 bar at 2k revs

Thanks for all the replys i hav,nt been able to give it any real testing as its rush hour here , the gauge is showing just under the 90-100psi mark with semi -warmed up engine during tickover (800-1000k) which going off the info supplied sounds that something might be a bit wrong. I have used the sender unit which was already on the engine so im not sure if its got a compatability problem with the gauge , i do have the sender for the new gauge i thought i might get away with the one thats there though!...

you need to fit the sender that came with the gauge dude
