Following on from the other thread how do you set it up so its operating properly? ive set the rod on the new one slightly longer because with it set at the same length as the old actuator it was pulling tight on the wastegate lever and i was worried it might cause damage
Do you have to give it a run or something?
Cheers for your help, im new to this turbo lark

it has to be tight over the wastegate,,u need a boost gauge really, the shorter the thread u can see, the more boost u will run, as always with increasing boost, make sure its checked by a tuner, ie fuel

Any chance you can shed some light on this for me?

the end of the rod, the part what screws in, has a hole in it what goes onto the wastegate bit then the circlip goes on to hold it there,
when installing the actuator, when looking from underneath, with the rod hardly screwed in, hold it up to the wastegae, and it should go straight over the wastegate,
but adjusted pre load (screwed in) if u hold the rod up to the wastegate it will be half the hole over it, then u have to pull the rod onto the wastegate
get it mate?
