HELP ME AVOID A DOG!
I'm just about to hit 35, and the wife has agreed to let me have my "mid life" motor moment! I'm seriously considering a S2 (as my mate's got a S1, so I've got to be different!), and I really don't want to pick up a dog! Apart from iffy body and engine mods (I'd like one as standard and clean as poss.), are there any serious weak points/faults to watch out for? Any help greatly welcomed!
if you go through the many pages this topic has been answer many times...best of luck finding a nice series 2.....but you wont want it std for long!..check the many mags and the add's on here...there the same as any car of that age...remeber the newest ones are now 14/15yrs old. so rust is a major factor...as are poorly maintained ones (engine wise)...so if you find a "nice one" pay for an AA check...
its a mind field mate, their all gettin on now so look round at rsoc shows ect, you will end up payin abit more but could save you a fortune in the long run.
then when you've found one you like get it aa cheaked

Take someone who really knows what they are looking at!!
Ask on here and I'm sure someone local to you would be willing to go with you for the price of a McDonalds
I personally wouldn't want a standard one for long though...it needs to be stage 1 at least to be any real fun
