Default SPARK PLUG GAP - help!

What is the correct gap for plugs in an ERST S2 ?

I assume when buying some and fitting them straight away is not clever...

What should they be set at please ?

Depends on your boost, if its uprated i'd set em to about 0.6mm

Tap them gently with a toffee hammer or against a flat surface.

I believe the standard gap is 0.8mm, I was running a stage 3 head & turbo at 22psi and stu advised me to gap them to 0.7mm. Hope this helps.

It does make a difference mate.

Set em to 0.6mm you need to get a fieler gauge on them to check the gap and as someone said tap them against sumthign ever so gently.

are the tips quite durable ?

I mean if they are gently hammered against a flat wall, it wont make them weaker or shit will it ?

A scratch or two will be ok ?

Bang them gently on a wooden surface, wont scratch em then

It really is only lightly you have to tap them mate

i find it difficult though, as one hand had to hold the plug, and one hand holding the rubber mallet

and the third hand was tying to hold the feel gauge at the same time...
