Default Start Problems When warm/Ripping ABS out

Question for all you Knowledgeable people out there.
1. When my S2 RST is warm and i turn it off for say about 5 minutes, when i go to start it again it fires then die's. IT only fires again after turning her over for about 30 sec's to a minute. The pump does prime initially but can hear it when its turning over until after the 30 second period. Is it a dodgy relay or is it a dodgy sensor. When she's cold she starts first turn of key. ????

2. Have any of you ripped out your ABS system of your RST.1 of my belt has snapped, and basically i'm fed up with the spongy fell to the brake pedal. And when your running 240-250 Bhp you need some confidence in the braking dept.
I have heard you can do it, all you need is a Master cylinder from a XR3i and 2 brake pipes made up. Well i am breaking my other halfs XR3i so the master cylinder is sorted. Could i used any of the brake pipes of it so that i dont need any made up.
Your help and advice will be greatly appriecated.
