I had to take the whole mechanism and window out but the lower roof was fine (if that's what you mean by tray) to be fair the whole lot wasn't that bad it just rusted in the worst place so we had to cut out the mec thinking it would be easy getting a new one
I should have got the new one first lol

Default Got a new ported head and piper cam

So the heads been ported and so has the injector plate and fule rail ( I think that's the name of it) and I have a piper 285t cam,
if I new what I no now I would have gone efi but I'd already spent to much cash befor I realised it would have been the better option. Anyway what power do you think I'm going to end up with ? I got the powerchips ecu and a forged intercooler and I think my bottom end is pritty much standard unless you can see anything different in the pics,
its had all new bearings / rings etc.
any any other suggestions for more power would be great

Default head

I'm not sure but I got it from Rs spares in Weston super mare and he was going to put it on his car but hadn't had time
he gets loads of work so I'd like to think it was a good head
he also said it's the most ported he'd seen

Default Cars nearly done

so I finally have her on the road and running nearly perfect, however when theboost comes on it starts missing and we can’t figure out why my thoughts are that it’s under fueling under full boost
,however the man in the garage seems to think he seen the spark arcing but I changed the Leeds plugs checked all grounds and I haven’t seen the spark arcing myself
Baer in mind it’s now a 2l zvh running standard mfi
any thoughts anyone

Could be spark plug gap too big (more boost needs tighter gaps) or just needs a set up.

Default Refurbished the metering unit

So an update
i had the car set up an turns out it’s defo not getting enough fuel so we sent the metering head off to be refurbished and re-calibrated to suit a 2 L bottom end
it took about 2 months to get it back and haven’t had the time to fit it yet but aim to have everything done by summer
