Loom diferences, how to run standalone management
This is probably going to sound a bit stupid but can someone please tell me the best way to run stand alone management such as omex on my RS turbo,
Im guessing the first thing to do is to convert to EFi ?
I was planning on doing this using the method described in the "what do i need to go mfi to efi" sticky but i get confused when it comes to OFAB and OFAC, what loom will i have in my RS turbo and how can i check this and what are the differences,
Basically i want to run a omex system but my standard loom dosent have all the inputs that omex needs unless i switch to efi, is this correct?
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Hi thanks for the reply, I get that bit, but do I have to convert to EFi as listed in the sticky first and then run a omex system or similar after ?

You will need electronic fuel injectors either by using a ford efi inlet, a modified mfi inlet to accept fuel rail or a custom inlet. You will need some sort of engine position sensor and pick up, either on the flywheel or fitted to the crank pulley. That should be it then add your new ecu, loom and appropriate sensors.
