S1 is better but you will pay more.

S2 is softer but cheaper.

Series 1 is ace. Series 2 is ace. I prefer 1's but apparently 2's drive better. They have different turbos. 2's are water cooled 1's arent. Gear ratios. Anti roll bar set up. Even think there are slight differences inside the engine too

Cheers fellars will look into it, had my cossie 8 years so I've ignored the rs turbos up untill now so I got a lot to learn. So will s1's hold there value better? What size turbo do they run? I guess the s1 is oil cooled and the s2 is water cooled. What sorta speed are they as standard??

Why will they shoot up? Is it same as saphs more are being broke? How many s1's were made then? I tried to research turbo on s1 but all I could find was turbo on a s2- T3

Both have t3 turbos but s1 has no water cooling, as said anti roll bars are different, s1 has no gearbox cradle and shorter gear ratios, s2 is a bit more refined

brake crossover bar on s1 are smaller
brake servo/master

kjetronic setup is different too only 1 sensor on inlet manifold,
inlet manifold splits on s1

S1 have racing pedigree and were designed for racing in mind. They were produced in a short production span than the S2 were(The S1 during the later years of the MK3 production) the S2 was produced from the beginning of the MK4 production until the end of the MK4 production.

The S2 was designed for fast 'road' use and with this in mind the suspension etc were designed as such.

From research it seems u can't gain big bhp with ers compared to cossies. What the biggest u can go on standard engine injectors etc. Just with a chip. Like stage one on a cossie??cheers
