What clutch/flywheel combo (Focus rs?)
Custom mount?

Also do you have to cut the chassis to fit or is there a shorter box

 

Also any thoughts on the. st170 6speed?

 

Mapper I used said ST170 ratio's are not suited.

 

Yeh there a short ratio arnt they? I'll have a google of the ratios and see what they are like compared to a mtx

 

ST's 6 speed has very long ratios.

 

So what are ratios and final drive then

 

don't bother costs more and ratios are to short , there are shorter boxes available and will go in with out cutting the inner wing

1st Gear Ratio: 4.46:1
2nd Gear Ratio: 2.71:1
3rd Gear Ratio: 1.33:1
4th Gear Ratio: 1.09:1
5th Gear Ratio: 1.33:1
6th Gear Ratio: 1.09:1

Final Drive: 4.25:1

 

Which gearboxes go in without cutting Stu?

 

ive got a mk5 escort diesel mtx rod shift cable clutch speedo drive front starter in the white 1 but ill be swapping the casings over to the same box that I fitted to the gartrac , mk2 mondeo td , cable linkage front starter hydro clutch speedo drive, theres a breakers in notts on ebay sells them £65 deliverd , there a good 1.5 - 2in shorter than a frs box

 

Isn't luke's fiesta (trolley) got a st box in and he did 180 something mph in it so can't be that bad.

Sorry I missed that, but yes But obviously it would be a low boost, rich, retarded etc.
