Anyone know the tint percentage(how much light can go through the tint)

I had to buy a non RS glass, this hasn't got any blackness to it unlike the rear side quarter windows.

I don't fancy full on black tint, just enough to match the side glass.

 

Didn't think there was any limit on rears, just the front windows?

 

no limit on rear windows. you cant touch the front though

 

Yeah i know that, they came slightly tinted from factory on RS. I replaced the whole tailgate due to rust issues including the screen.

 

75% of light front windscreen 70% front side windows no restrictions on rear or rear passenger windows! as per gov.uk

Rear quarter glass from the series 2, and rear screen from an Eclipse model. Both factory fitted items. I no longer have the rear screen from the RS so im trying to scoure a tint to match the quarter glass.

 

are they both the same brand glass? as that may be your problem. the spec of the car it came from doesnt matter. i sometimes get screens at work to do that are a lighter tint than the original factory glass. you will probably find once its fitted you will hardly, if at all be able to tell.
