having bought a replacement seat base for my 88 recaro its proving a reet bastard to fit. the material is too taught for me to stretch. has anyone else gone through this and/or have any pointers to make the job easier? thanks matt

Yes, it's very very tight and is a pain but with the use of a pair of pliers and a flat head screwdriver I've now done four of these fuckers! lol
Just keep at it mate, working from one end to the other alternating sides.

cheers karlos. done it now, the way you said, took about 3 mins. all that swearing earlier for fuck all
