Quick question- are the lines 3/16ths in size?

should be well thats what i used on mine. use nickel not copper if your replacing them as i find it lasts longer and seems to resist corrosion better than the copper does. all in my experiance thopugh mate.

Brake lines on my car appear to have been covered with what looks like heat shrink.

Beaver - yea it's the kunifer gear which is mix of both. Was at a car show today and picked up a roll of 3/16ths. Lucky guess I have xr3i front lines from non abs set up so it's only for re doing back lines .

Aston - get pics up- heat shrink?

Ill take some next few days and put em up. It literally looks like heat shrink over the copper lines. Unless it was bought like that. Dunno how else you'd get the same look.

Might be able to buy it pre fitted then?

The chap who restored mine is a mercedes specialist so might have ordered some through work.
