Default tappets collapseing/loseing pressure when left overnite??

my rs has a tap from cold that gone in a few seconds, fitted new lifters but still the same

left car overnite, removed rocker cover the next day to find a few lifters have lost pressure overnite & the rocker is loose (hence the tap)

anyway they are new lifters so why is this happening????

the oil i got from a mate at ford but to be honest think its too thin??
could this be my problem????

what oil grade should i get get for it???

cheers

oh and you should always replace camshaft and lifters together on an rs turbo as they wear out that quickly that new lifters wont always bed into a old cam though that isnt your problem in this case

Don't know for how long they tap on your car, but mine tapped for about 1-2 seconds. once oil pressure was build up it stopped tapping and ran very smooth

That's normal, even on a factory new CVH.

Give it an oil system flush and fill it up with fresh oil.
Could be a slightly blocked oil way or a lazy tappet, but if they r new i wouldnt have thought so
