I was swapping my crappy bonnet over to my new second hand one today, and the clips from the old one don't the replacement bonnet.

The holes in the replacement are all much bigger than those on the original one so the clip things don't work.

Were there 2 sizes? I find it rather weird if there was.

Probably a pattern bonnet from a cheap Taiwan supplier. That is the most likely reason.

I have the reverse problem, holes in new bonnet are smaller than the old one

do you have the screw clip bung things for the large type hole?

I have the small ones.

I have the push in type that are fitted to the original ford bonnet and I see where your going mate
