Put em in a saucepan, slowly heat the water up to boiling. Use a thermometer and see when they activate using a multimeter i guess?

You replace, for the CTS you would need to know the resistance VS temp scale, for the price you would just buy a new one.

For the fan switch you can check the continuity of a hot engine or heat up a saucepan, as said.

By placing the end of the switch is a saucepan of water of a suitable temperature, you are simulating the coolant reaching this temperature, therefore giving a resistance/continuity value on a multimeter connected as the switch closes.

Using a miltimeter to meassure resistance...

Coolant:
5C........ 71900
36C...... 18300
100C..... 2000

So... In the fridge, under your armpit and in boiling water lol
