Evening guys, new to the site and looking for a bit of help. I am looking at getting an S1 RST and have seen one on the bay and hopefully checking it out tomorrow. Is this car known on the site? I think it has been chavved in a previous life but now looks pretty much standard. It has has its engine changed but when searching for insurance it says car is not listed by entering the reg number and alarm bells are sounding. Anyone?

thanks bud, just got an email from the guy and he said the engine number does not match the log book from the engine change. Is it just a case of sending the log book off with new details or is that far too simple?

Not sure on that one mate, i dare say someone with more knowledge will let you know

Dont think many rs turbos do have the original engine in them these days though..

Righto, just done and HPI check and all looks clear but says its an import so not sure about it now :-S

At a guess, that would only mean it was exported to that country..and then imported back here, because its on english plates in the database and guessing its RHD ?.... so must have been an english car at some point, plus the picture looks old....
