Default which oil grade do you use, theres now fully synthetic anywhere

Now we all own an RS, the 22 yr old handbook says something like 5-30 i think (dont have it at hand so dont quote me)

now ive read in magazines and picked up here that on this cvh (standard) engine we should use 10-40 fully synthetic, now which should it be.

Im happy to follow the recommend advice, i have receipts for 10-40 in past (previous owners) only thing is im really struggling to find 10-40 fully synthetic, theres loads of semi but no fully, tried halfords, GSF, even andrew page. I know it does exist so im wondering what to do about it.

The car is standard, 167k on clock, what shall i do?
