as im going to do the cambelt/water pump an already have a new vernier pulley, im goiung to fit the new pulley as its new and will aid making the engine bay look presentable. is the middle marking on the pulley 0 advance and equivalant to were timing would be if using the fixed oe pulley? i also understand the std cam can be dialled in to give small gains with a vernier pulley if setup carefully. i understand you need a spec'd cam to take full advantage of the adjustment but as ive already got one, want to fit it. cheers

Id be setting it up with a DTI mate. Wouldn't risk it at all tbh. My vernier doesn't have a timing mark and that's the way it was set up on my car!
