Default Possible air leak

Start up the rs and the boost gauge is fine as soon as it warms up and comes off choke on idle when it's in vacuum it won't stay still Car is idling at 1000 rpm according to rev counter

Have you recently fitted a dump valve by any the wrng one as escortchance? If so id say it is the wrong one. Escirt turbo's require a specific one. If not Possibly air leak or if you have a diaphram dump valve fitted it could have split

the tps is on the throttle body. its a black box type shape and when you move the throttle linkage by hand it should click. dump valves can cause all sorts of bother esp if the wrong type is used.

What won't stay still? The revs or the boost gauge needle?

i took it as rev counter ''hunting'' at idle.

what would cause the boost gauge to fluctuate? knackered boost gauge or trapped vac pipe?

ah. split in vac from somewhere up to boost gauge. start at the manifold, tee piece up to boost gauge. can be a bastard to trace. just replace with some new pipe and see if the problem persists

3mm id rings a bell if its silicone. also check the tee piece. cheap ones are more brittle and break easily owed to the low nylon/high plastic material
