Escort Rs won't fire
I have basically just rebuilt the top half of the engine on my escort turbo replacing the cam, valves, followers, sills, Ht leads, coil, spark plugs, injectors air filter and vacuum piping. The head and inlet manifold has been ported, skimmed and polished.
The car fired first time after the rebuild but because of a lose exhaust gasket i turned the engine off. i come to start the car an hour latter and nothing. I know the car has fuel and i know the fuel system is under pressure as i have checked the metering unit and fuel sprays out. I have checked the plugs and they are not wet with fuel and do seem a bit dry.
ANY IDEAS WHY IT WONT FIRE

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
check all plugs as you may well have disturbed them when faqffing with the ex manifold. sounds like fuel is reaching themetering head but not getting to the injectors/inlet. is the fuel pump priming? could you have un hooked something when priming the oil pressure and forgot? although it sounds like its a fuel issue (no wet plugs) id also check leads/dizzy/coil connections ect. as its already ran, chances are itll be a silly overlook rather than a terminal meltdown.
