zetec breather setup

Default zetec breather setup

hello can anyone tell me what breather setup up they have on there zetec turbo or show me a picture that would be great thank you. here is a picture of my engine if you can point me in right area

put the pipe from the cam cover and the one from the front of the engine block to a catch tank and vent that to atmosphere

you also have to pipe the oil return from breather back to sump , remember and put it below the oil level or engine will just breath from that pipe aswell and breather will fill with oil

heres a couple of pics of what i had


i also had catch tank after breather then to atmosphere , you can see top of it mounted on chassis leg , i also modified the front block breather to accept 16mm hose instead of 10mm

Was looking at a VXR engine today and its breather return pipe is above oil level.

If you have it above level and have oil returning wouldn't this indicate excess crank case pressure ?

right i have found front breather but i cant seem to find one on the back of the block any ideas.

there is'nt one at back of block mate , only front of block and rocker cover

as for oil return to sump you will have to get your sump modded for this

I have a 1.8 zetec sump with turbo oil return in the front and breather return in the back I'm looking at selling as iv gone rwd with mine if your interested

i didnt look on the sump to see if anything was there ill have another look tonight. i do welding anyway so all ill have to do is drill hole an weld a bit of tube. will anywhere on sump do cheers

Don't the vxrs have breathing issue though ?
