Default Engine swop

Im thinking of changing the engine in my s1 cab into my s2 and the s2 engine into the s1. Complete with ecu`s and meternig heads. Im gona leave the gearboxes where they are. The reason im doing it is because the s2 engine is standard and the s1 has had a lot of work done to it and is running bout the 200bhp mark.

What im wondering will this be a straight swop? I think it will but........

Straight swap indeed. Just swap the block head and turbo's along with the management for each and bobs your mam's brother. im assuming both the looms are standard. If so even they can be left in place

Just to point out a totally untouched stock engine will do around 240bhp with the correct turbo, IC and enough fuel... No need to swap engines over mate, much easier to fit your IC and turbo from the S1 to he S2!
Assuming your running a front mount IC and at least a .36/50 T3... if not then you dont have 200bhp anyway! lol

CheeRs guys.

@ Karlos, im not sure what the power is in the s1, im just going by what Karl Norris told me when he was finshed with it. He said it would be touching 200bhp, but i`ve never had it on a rolling road, but it is quick

Richie.

Touching 200bhp it's probably on a stock T3 then, they can do around 190bhp give or take a bit if really pushed and with a good IC, or could be a bigger one just not on it's limits.

Rods and pistons no, more fuel yes (as in my first post) MFI will not be able to fuel for that much so EFI with the correct size injectors would be needed, or could go oldschool and use a 5th injector.
Pistons will take 300bhp and rods are on their limit at about 240bhp.

If its a proper s1 there are some differences.
1. The water pump is piped differently
2. The inlet manifold has a det sensor.
3. The turbo on a s1 does not have a water feed (not really important as most people fuuck the water feed to the turbo off on a s2 anyway)
Think that's it.
