just a quick question, are all rs turbos with mfi interchangable. ie a hearts and diamonds car, will it run right with a earlier ecu? and what happens with the redundant knock sensor? bl;anking plug or just leave as is but disregard it?

Not 100% sure but i remember somewhere that you can run any type on a early car but the late ones only use harts and diamonds.

Can't help really but I run a series 1 ecu to get rid of the knock sensor on my series 2 and never had any problems

yeh, ive ran a S1 ecu on a S2 just plug and play

Yea I just swapt my chip over and had it set up mate simple and streight forward

Blue Red Blue =S1 B,C,D REG
Blue Red White=Early S2 Cars With No Knock Sensor
Blue Red Black=S2 With Knock Sensor E,F,G reg
Hearts And Diamonds 90Spec With Knock Sensor G,H reg
I read somewhere u must have the right ecu for your car otherwish when u take it to a tuners thay will not tune it if its the wrong one dont no how true this is u will have to look into it
