Depends on whether the alternators are 3-bolt casings or 4-bolt casings?
By that, I mean whether there are 3 long bolts or 4 long bolts holding the casing together, not holding the alternator to the bracket.
3 bolt casings are Lucas and 4 bolt casings are Bosch. Lucas alternators can be "turned" if you know what you are doing to make them work facing up or down, Bosch ones cannot.
As said above though, the diesel one is most likely be 55A, not 70A as per the RS as only the models with a heated windscreen had the 70A alternator.
