Default Wheel Size / Offset help needed

Hi Guys.

Im looking at a set of Comp TH for my escort rs, however they are on my mates Pug at the moment which is ok as know they will fit, but my question is they are 15" x 6J and offset of ET15.

Now i know its smaller than the standard 15" x 7j but think that will be ok, but if i put 20mm spacers on will that be ok to match the ET35 offset that i need?

Cheers for any help - Jamie

et confuses the hell out of me

im sure the std wheel is 6x15 et 35
the et 15 wheel will be pushed right out from the hub (further from shock)
so adding a 20mm spacer will make them et-5

to make them et35 you would need to machine the mounting face down by 20mm

i could have this arse about face but someone will correct me im sure

Standard s2 wheels are 15x6j with an offset of 36.5 to be precise lol! As Gus has rightly said, et15 will stick out like a bastard!

this site can be quite useful mate, if you have the size of tyres, rim and offset it'll let you know how far in or out the new wheels will sit

Standard alloys are 6.5J. Look for a set that is 7J
