Can I use the power-steering from the american escort on my MK4?

Lol @ volvo, dunno if you can use the powersteering from it but if you can get a powersteering rack to fit your mk4 you can easily install a power speering pump with the mk5 bracker, all you will need it the diferent bottom pully, alternator pully and the tensioner to take the wider pas belt, alternatively go for a pug 106 eletric pump

Whats the point its just more hassle and wear and tear on other components. I dont think it would fit because steering shaft connects to the steering rack on the left hand side.

To be honest, that US E'scrote looks more like a re badged Jap effort so it would be nothing like a Mk3/4 set up at all....
