Default Oil pressure

Anybody know what oil pressure an S2 should be and also would an oil breather system make any difference?

Reason being my S2 has produced a knock from the top end after fittin a Piper285t2 cam. Have sent the followers back to Piper to test them and they said that theirs nothing wrong with them and it could be that my engines oil pressure isnt high enough to pump up the Piper followers. So fitted an oil pressure gauge today and it reads between 15 to 20 at tick over and rises to 40 to 45 at about 3000rpm. What do you think? are Piper talking s**t or could their be something else wrong somewhere.

You will allways get increased tappet noise with a high lift cam, shouldnt knock though

Your pressures are about the same as mine, im using a T2 cam and had no problems.

An aftermarket oil breather will not affect your oil pressure.
