are you going to spank it on track/pod etc? Mine is getting closer to being on the road and it's getting the shit kicked out of it as much as possible

Im undecided about track tbh, i think if i ever get into track stuff my daily 328 hack would be better round a track than an rst, or maybe an old m3.... but pod definitely, and i drive cars pretty hard anyway tbh.... I just couldn't face totalling it on track.

Just avoid salt like the plague, and really shitty days + clean it regularly etc and it should hold up okay (i hope).

You can build one and not give it a good spanking in my book Have you got a build thread or anything for yours Rick? Always fancied a nosey!

no build thread. After 12 years it would get a bit tedious! Was a daily driver from '99 to 08 when it was running a 300hp CVH. Dropped a valve, so decided to put a 2.3 I4 RSK engine in. Then a very cheap ST170 came up locally so used that instead. Had it running with a FRS box, and power steering last year for a bit but Gary decided he didn't like the engine mounts so ripped it all apart.

Since then i've got a replica/fibreglass S1 kit for it so I can run as wide a wheel as possible. Cut the arches out big style so just throwing on some paint. All the sanding/prep bores me but it'll be done soon enough.

its fully steel, but yea. People have had problems with the heads flexing, if that happens then i'll put a black top head on it. I know for a fact they can take a kicking!
