Default CVH Cylinder Head

I'm suspecting that my RST cylinder head has a crack somewhere because I keep hearing bubbles of water after I switch off the engine until it cools down, even though I've got the swirl pot.... which means compression is leaking from somewhere.

I found a 1.9 CVH (USA) modified cylinder head for a bargain. Is this the same as the 1.6 CVH head? If not what differences does it have? Thanks

i could hear water bubbling from mine when switched off, it was water going through the return pipe back into the header tank.

If you have a water cooled turbo the water will bubble as the water is not being pumped and will boil where its sat in the turbo.

No not losing any water. But I once heard that with a swirl pot you shouldn't hear those bubbles anymore. Could it be because of the extreme hot mediterranean temperatures of my country then?

However, will the 1.9 CVH (USA) head fit on my 1.6 CVH block? Thanks guys

I've had some boiling issues after shutting the engine in the summertime. Are you sure that your cooling system is handling the pressure? Is the expansion tank cap up to it?
