Default road legal semi slick tyres

hi, in the very near future I'll be in need of some fresh new tyres to fit onto standard rims.( 195/50/15 or perhaps 205/50/15) What are recommendable high performance semi slick tyres nowadays? toyo r888's is the one I can think of but there gotta be other/better ones around ?
cheers!

I used to run t1r's. Really good tyre. Tiny bit slippy in the wet but plenty good enough in the dry.

http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/

Always a good place to check out, has trackday/road/winter categories etc, then hundreds of buyer feedback on the tyres.

Ah good stuff, the t1r's are nothing like the r1r's though. R1r's are similar to r888, but better in the wet and last a bit longer, from the reviews i have read they are better in the wet than r888 and have marginally less grip in the dry.
