Default S2 breathing really heavily

as most people who were folowin my other thread will know im havin problems with my s2,its breathing very heavily.
i replaced head gasket, cleaned all pipes through, replaced breather on corner of rocker cover aswell.but its still breathing heavy and smokes.

my compression is 155psi in each cylinder so surely its definitely not rings???
ive tried a few different turbos with all the same results.
i drove up the road the other day and the pressure blew the little oil breather apart on the corner of rocker cover!!!!

does anyone think it could b a cracked head??

im running out of ideas, i did not have the head pressure tested when i did headgasket so does anyone think its possible this could be the cause?

oil was filling up in my intercooler aswell, ive now blocked off that breather to metering unit, and ran the pipe to atmosphere.

ive ran out of ideas now ,anyone think it could be the head?

If there really is that much pressure and all breathers are clear it must be rings surely? I know the compression test shows good but where is all that pressure coming from then?
If the head was cracked I cant see why it wouldnt cause high crank case pressure.

It's a tricky one mate, you've done everything else and I cant see how a cracked head would pressurise the bottom end so to me it looks that way yes.
Unless you have some how plumbed the breathers wrong and boost pressure is being piped into the sump? Maybe the little one way valve has failed?

broken ring land. You need to do a leakdown test really. If the block isn't smooth you could be pressurising the oil gallery.

whats a leakdown test rick?
i have the normal breather goin from right corner of rocker cover down to bottom end. the left side of vrocker cover has the normal standard breather and the vacuum thing goin to inlet manifold, and then the original breather that used to go to metering unit goes to atmosphere as ive blocked metering unit off.

karlos: what one way valve do u mean mate? do you mean that small one on the small vacuum pipe that comes off the small breather on left side of rocker cover?

Yes mate thats the one, if this has failed (dont really know if they can as I've never looked into one) then on boost you'll be pressurising the bottom end and also loosing boost pressure to atmosphere too.

so if i just block that off and disconnect from inlet, (just to try it) that would rule that out if still breathing heavily yeah?

Mr google says

http://www.type2.com/library/engineg/leaktst.htm

Its fairly straight forward, and as Rick says its really what you should do next to find what your problem is.

Block off both ends though dont leave a hole in the inlet if you get me.
That would rule out the one way valve being open all the time yes.

it can still have good compression with knackered rings, the compression rings may be ok, but the oil control rings might be cooked, just sounds like the whole engine is tired to me, not much you can do other than to replace it with a decent one.
