Default Need Some Help Please!!

hey folks needing a help with my car i fitted a ap paddle clutch and the adjustable pedal and now i have a problum. the pedal is far to far up alot higher than the brake pedal and if u push the clutch to the floor its like ur over pushing the clutch in and it grinds?:S you also cant get a gear if the clutch is at the floor but if u let it up from the floor say 10cm you can get gears fine :S anybody know if ive done something wrong? thanks alan

Take it you modified the white plastic quadrant?

...and now you've adjusted the pedal using the allen key bolt and its still high even when adjusted as low as poss, right?

i put the spring back on it pulls it level

in the picture that is the allen key out as far as it can be.

if i put the spring on it will surly be pullin the clutch in?:S

and if u put the clutch down about half way u can get gears and you get clutch letting it up aswell

There is no way the spring will pull the clutch on, think how much pressure your leg has to exert!
Fit the spring and lower the pedal a bit, if it wont go in gear when your right at the floor but will if you let up a bit then there is too much travel and the pedal needs lowering further.

that is as low as i can get the pedal to go how do i get it any lower the bolt is out as far as it can be? thanks

Get ya head back under the dash and
A. check the 10mm lock nut on the end of the adjuster is actually still on and
B. check that its locating on the quadrant squarly

I had this problem and i'm pretty sure this was the cause in my case.

Yeah wrong cable or it caught around something maybe?!
Alternatively try moving the clutch arm one splind closer and then re-adjust the pedal height.

Ok folks i did haha to push the clutch fork in to get the new cable on the fork and ive never had to do that before is that normal?
