Default Heated screen issues

Hi Guys

Having problems with my front heated screen.

I had the screen changed around 6-8 months ago when it came back from being painted and its never worked since

I have checked the 2 contacts either side of the windscreen and also checked the earth point at the top behind the clock and they are all fine.

Also i have noticed that the light on the switch itself lights up when its pressed. i am stuck now and not sure what to do next

Any ideas? and does anyone happen to have a diagram of the fuse and relay locations in the fusebox and under the steering column

cheers in advance

marc

First thing you need to do is to check whether you have power WITH the screen on at both sides, if you do then the screen itself is faulty. If not then you can work your way back from there.

Yes on the meter you want to set to 20V on the "DCV" range it usually goes 2 then 20, with the screen on and so engine needs to be running as well put a probe on each wire, it doesn't matter which is which, you should get a reading of 13V +.
