Default Wet drivers side carpet...

I noticed a wet carpet the other day, so dried out the carpet.

Now, it gets wet while the car sits outside my house, not moving.
I can lift the carpet, and the actual floor is dry.

Under the fuse box apears to be ok (I can lift it a couple of inches) and there appears to be a white rubbery seal around it that seems ok.

Someone (not Ford related) said possibly the sunroof drain. Could it be this?
Any other sugestions?

Battery tray rotting through and leaking here is a common problem...

Heater matrix is my guess - stick the motor through a carwash and when you see a small foam swimming pool appear in the footwell you know thats the problem.

Alternatively (recommended) - check the heater vents that are located behind the centre console (used to heat your feet) - feel around the vents and if water is on them then yes defo the matrix.
